By turns nocturnal, reflective, funky, and cinematic, the music of electric violinist and composer David Schulman is a weave of jazz harmonies,  shimmering orchestral textures, and frolicsome grooves. His sound has been called “mysterious and beautiful” by the Washington Post.

The Grasshopper's Field

New Update: I've been painting with oils and cold wax for over a year now and am in love with this method of painting.  It suits me, opening up such beautiful venues.  I'm showing this month at Foundry Gallery in their Foundry Gallery Celebrates  exhibit celebrating Foundry's 45 years as a cooperative gallery.  Opening reception is Saturday, January 7, 5-7pm.  Foundry Gallery is located at 2118 8th Street NW, Washington, DC.

I've been out of commision for the past year but am looking forward to painting and exhibiting again.

My very whimsical painting "The Anteater"  I loved the way the painting formed and created this wonderful creature.  This painting sold at Yellow Barn exhibit in September 2010.

I  am exhibiting recent paintings at the Yellow Barn Gallery at Glen Echo Park, MD with fellow painters, Debra Naylor and Barbara French Pace. Exhibit dates: September 3 - 6. Hours: 12-5pm. Reception is on Saturday, September 4 from 5 to 7pm.
